Acceptable Use

Kairos works because both sides can trust what they see. These rules protect that. They are part of the Terms of Service - breaking them is breaking the terms.

Effective 2026-07-18

Be real

In plain terms: Real identity, real business, real numbers, real funds.

No fake or impersonated identities, and no accounts for businesses you do not control. Sellers: connect the store's real systems, never doctored or substituted data, and keep listing information current. Buyers: proof-of-funds attestations must be genuine, and offers must be made in good faith with the intent and ability to complete.

No listing of businesses that are illegal to operate or sell, that sell illegal goods, or that you do not have the right to sell.

Keep the deal on the platform

In plain terms: Met through Kairos? The deal runs through Kairos. Slipping contact details past the flow to dodge the fee breaks the terms.

Do not use listing questions, deal messages, or listing content to move a Kairos-introduced deal off the platform: no smuggling emails, phone numbers, handles, or meet-me-elsewhere arrangements to avoid the success fee. The non-circumvention terms (Terms section 15, and the Buyer NDA) apply for 24 months, on or off the platform.

Confidential means confidential

In plain terms: Unlocked numbers are for deciding whether to buy - nothing else.

Information you access under the Buyer NDA - brand names, exact financials, verification memos - may be used only to evaluate that purchase and shared only with your own deal team under the NDA's conditions. Never to compete with the seller, approach their suppliers or staff, or build datasets. Sellers: what you learn about buyers (identity, funds status, offers) is for the deal only.

Do not abuse the marketplace

In plain terms: No scraping, no harvesting listings, no gaming the systems, no breaking things.

No scraping, crawling, or bulk-extracting listings or any platform data, and no building competing datasets or services from it. No unlocking listings to harvest confidential information without genuine purchase intent. No probing, overloading, or interfering with the platform's security or operation, and no automated access outside interfaces we provide for it.

No harassment or abuse of other users or of Kairos staff, and no unlawful, deceptive, or fraudulent activity of any kind.

What happens on breach

Depending on severity: content removal, listing pause, account restriction, suspension, or termination, under the notice rules in Terms section 17 - plus delisting and a ban for confirmed misrepresentation, fee recovery under Terms section 15 for circumvention, and legal action where warranted.
