Verified Badge is the marker a marketplace displays once a listing clears its own trust process, though the badge does not mean the same thing everywhere. One venue may attach it to a linked integration, another to a reviewed profit and loss, another to no published method at all. The badge is only as strong as the check behind it.
What the Badge Means, Venue by Venue
Flippa's threshold is about money, not scrutiny: its vetting team reviews stated financials once they clear 50,000 dollars, and the page is silent on a store below that line. Empire Flippers names dashboard access as the preferred method and a revenue screenshot as the published fallback when a seller declines to grant it. Acquire.com labels its listings vetted and its buyer funds verified without publishing a method for either claim. Three badges, three different amounts of proof behind the same word, and none of the three names a specific check a reader could point at and confirm alone - closing that gap is left to the buyer, every time.
Not to Be Confused With
- Kairos Verified
- A generic verified badge can mean almost anything a venue decides. Kairos Verified is the site's own reserved word: it appears only after the pipeline reconciles revenue against read-only Shopify order data, runs its eight automated checks, and a human signs off, and it expires after 90 days without a fresh look.
