Data Freshness is how recently a claimed number was actually pulled from its source system, since even an honest figure can go stale between one check and the next. A store's real orders keep happening after a badge is granted. The badge only ever describes the moment it was last read, not the moment a buyer is standing on.
The Two Clocks on a Kairos Listing
Two different clocks run on a live listing. The automated checks refresh weekly, through the same sweep that re-verifies every store, so a Data Verified badge is never more than about a week old. A Kairos Verified badge runs on a slower, human clock: it stands for 90 days from the day an analyst signed off, then falls back to Data Verified until someone looks again, even if nothing about the store's numbers actually changed in that window. A buyer reading either badge is reading the older of the two clocks, not the newest number the store's own admin panel would show them right now.

- Data freshness is a measure: how old is the number behind this badge right now. Re-verification is the active process that keeps that measure small, by pulling new data and re-running the checks on a schedule instead of leaving an old pass to age quietly.
