Finders Fee is a commission paid for introducing a buyer and a seller to each other. It rewards the introduction itself. It does not pay for negotiating price, running diligence, or advising either side. According to SMERGERS's own FAQ, its finder fee is 1 percent of the deal amount, billed to the seller, with a 400 dollar minimum when 1 percent would come in lower.
Not to Be Confused With
- Broker Commission
- a finder is paid only for the introduction; a broker's commission also compensates negotiation and process work after it.
