LTV is customer lifetime value: the total revenue or profit one customer is expected to generate over their relationship. It combines average order value, purchase frequency, and expected customer lifespan into one figure. A high average order value paired with a short lifespan can produce the same LTV as a low value paired with a long one. Buyers read it next to acquisition cost, never alone.
What Kairos Verifies Toward LTV
Kairos's Shopify connector verifies average order value from a store's own trailing-twelve-month order data, the building block most LTV estimates start from. It does not track individual customer identities, repeat-purchase history, or churn, so it never calculates or verifies a lifetime-value figure itself. A seller quoting an LTV number for a subscription or repeat-purchase business needs a customer-level export from the store or a separate analytics platform, reconciled against the verified order totals rather than substituted for them in a listing.
Not to Be Confused With
- AOV
- AOV is the average size of one order; LTV projects total revenue across a customer's whole relationship, many orders included.
