Read-Only Access is a connection scope that lets an outside party look at data on another system, orders, revenue, or ad spend, without any ability to edit, delete, or move anything through it. The seller keeps full control of the account. What changes is who else can see inside it, not who can act inside it.
Why It Is the Standard Kairos Demands
Kairos connects to a seller's Shopify store this way and nothing else: the pipeline can pull order-level revenue, refunds, and chargebacks to run its checks, and it cannot touch products, orders, or money on the other end. That is the whole automatic connection. A seller who is asked for read-only access is not being asked to hand over control of their store, only a view into records that already exist, which is why refusing it is a much bigger red flag than granting it.

- Full access can create, edit, or delete records and often move money. Read-only access can only be read from, which is why a seller loses nothing by granting it and a buyer or marketplace gains only visibility, never control.
